Paving is covering the outdoor floors with a layer of paving materials. For homes, paving is usually used in backyards, around swimming pools, exterior footpaths, driveways, and/or around the house. Paving these areas of the house makes it easier and more pleasant to walk around the house. It can also give a good look paving matches the overall colour and layout of the house.

Paving can be done in two ways. When the area is already cemented, then paving is done with covering the area by a layer of sand and cement.

We do backyard paving, around the house, around the swimming pool or footpath paving. The other form of paving is usually done around the house. First, the area is levelled to make sure the surface is even. Next a plastic layer is laid over the area to avoid the growth of grass into the paving layer. Finally, the paving layer is laid over the plastic.

For the parts around the house, the other option is to lay concrete rather than paving. Concrete can be a better option since grass cannot grow, however, it is possible that the concrete layer gets cracked. In that case, it can be expensive to replace it with the new concrete. In contrast, if the area has pavement, replacing the cracked pavings is easier and cheaper than replacing the concrete layer.
